Many thanks to our Quota members who contributed so much of their time and effort to our recent events. Special thanks to Lucille Bigelow for chairing the Food Bank service project, Susan Schneberger for chairing the Trivia Night, and to Barbara Horcha for chairing the Chicken Dinner. All of the events were a success. It was gratifying to see so many of our members and their friends and relatives working for the good of the club and its mission. We will be looking forward to the final reports.

We had a lot going on in October. For those who are feeling a little overwhelmed, this is a good time to consider which of your friends and relatives are potential Quotarians. What do you enjoy about Quota? Why do you continue your membership? Something keeps you coming back. That is the message you want to share with others. We are doing good work but imagine what we could do with more members.

In the middle of our busy October, we met at the Flint Golf Club for the White Elephant Auction, It was clear that this is an activity that members enjoy. I am glad that we kept it on the calendar. We always appreciate the opportunity to add some cash to our treasury while we are having fun.

In November we will be doing an ornament exchange at the Flint Golf Club. If you want to participate, bring a wrapped ornament. Notice will be emailed. Please RSVP promptly.

Please remember that we are donating a basket of Christmas themed goodies to the Weiss Advocacy Center for their silent auction. Donations must be in by the November Business Meeting on the 2nd of November. Also, reservations must be in by the day of the Ornament Exchange. Finally, donations for the auction at the Holiday Dinner will be gratefully accepted.

Thanks again for everything you do for Quota.

Yours in Quota,
Carolyn BOegner
