Welcome to February.

First, a thank you to everyone who completed the online survey.  You found out, as I did, that it would not allow for more than one answer per question.  I used the comments section.  There is still time before our Thursday meeting (02/06/20) to complete your survey.  Renee is using the Survey Monkey to aggregate the responses for each question.  We will be setting aside a chunk of time to discuss results and think forward.

Second, on Friday morning, February 7th we are sponsoring a ten-seat table at the Voices for Children Breakfast of Champions, held at the Riverfront Conference Center.  It starts at 7:30 and goes to about 9:30. In the morning…  Two of our Club members, Gail Stimson and Patrice Stiehl, are part of the planning committee.  We have room for two more club members to attend.  This is an opportunity for Club visibility, good food, and a great celebration of our youth and the folks in the community who work with them.  If more than two more members want to attend, Gail has room at her table.  Those who have signed up so far are: Carol, Carolyn S., Pam, Carolyn B., Cathy, Barb, Deb Cherry (per Carolyn) and myself.

Third, the Back to the Bayou GCYC (Genesee County Youth Corp.) fundraiser is on Fat Tuesday, February 25, at the Riverfront Conference Center.  Our Club is sponsoring a 10-seat table for the event.  Kathy Holt, Patrice Stiehl, and I are all on the GCYC Board.  We want you to attend and I promise it will be fun.  New Orleans cuisine, cash bar, silent auction, gift card raffle, a zydeco band and dance floor.  Oh, and free masks and beads.  If more than ten members want to attend, we have tickets!

Fourth, although it is not until March 28th, Trivia Night is coming up.  Start to think about creating a winning table.

We have no February birthdays, but belated birthday wishes to Connie Rau, who celebrated another year on January 8th.

Barb Rumbel is recovering from pneumonia.  Patrice is having surgery on the 12th (or maybe the 11th…)  If you know of any other club member news, (it can be good news, too), please share so those of us who wish to reach out can do so.

Hope to see you on the 6th.
